Smart TV VPN Setup (Samsung & LG)

ℹ️ Samsung and LG Smart TVs do not support WireGuard apps directly. Use one of the two methods below to route your TV through Vela VPN.

Method 1 — VPN Router (Recommended)

Set up Vela VPN on your router using one of the Router Setup guides (TP-Link, Asus, Cudy, etc.).
On your Smart TV, go to Settings → Network and connect to the VPN-enabled router via Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable.
All Smart TV traffic now flows through Vela VPN automatically — no app installation needed on the TV.
Verify by navigating to a streaming service like Netflix or YouTube and checking if geo-restricted content is now available.

Method 2 — Share VPN from Windows PC

Download and install WireGuard for Windows from wireguard.com.
Log in to velavpn.com/account, find your server, and click Download Config to get the .conf file. Import it into the WireGuard Windows app and click Activate.
On Windows, go to Settings → Network & Internet → Mobile Hotspot. Enable the hotspot and set it to share over Wi-Fi.
On your Smart TV, go to Settings → Network → Wi-Fi and connect to the Windows hotspot network.
Verify your TV is routing through VPN by launching a streaming service and checking for previously unavailable content.

⚠️ The PC hotspot method requires your PC to remain on and the VPN to stay active. If the VPN disconnects on the PC, your TV loses protection. The router method is more reliable for permanent use.
