Part 1 — Download your Vela VPN config file

Log in to your Vela VPN account portal on your Windows PC.
Log in to velavpn.com/account, find your server in the server list, and click Download Config. Save the .conf file somewhere easy to find (e.g. your Desktop or Downloads folder).

Part 2 — Install the WireGuard app

Download the official WireGuard installer for Windows from wireguard.com/install.
Run the installer (wireguard-installer.exe) and follow the prompts. Administrator privileges are required.
Once installed, open the WireGuard application from the Start menu or System Tray.

Part 3 — Import the config and connect

In the WireGuard app click Import tunnel(s) from file (or drag-and-drop the .conf file into the app window).
Browse to the .conf file you downloaded in Part 1 and select it. The tunnel will appear in the list.
Select the tunnel and click Activate. The status will change to Active and your traffic is now protected by Vela VPN.
To disconnect, select the tunnel and click Deactivate. The WireGuard app runs silently in the System Tray for quick access.

Pro tip — Multiple servers: You can import multiple .conf files (one per server) and switch between them anytime by activating a different tunnel.
