Xbox One / Series X|S Setup

Xbox consoles don’t support WireGuard natively. The easiest approach is to configure Vela VPN on your router — your Xbox then connects through the VPN tunnel automatically.

🛡️ WireGuard 📡 Via Router One & Series X|S
Recommended — Via Router
💡
Why this works: Xbox connects to the internet through your router. When WireGuard is running on the router, all Xbox traffic is routed through Vela VPN without any extra steps on the console.

Part 1 — Set up Vela VPN on your router

  1. Log in to velavpn.com/account, find your server in the server list, and click Download Config to get your WireGuard .conf file.

  2. Follow the WireGuard setup guide for your router model: TP-Link, Asus, Netgear, MikroTik, or Cudy.

  3. Import the .conf file into your router’s WireGuard VPN client and activate the tunnel.

Part 2 — Connect your Xbox to the router

  1. On your Xbox press the Xbox button to open the guide, then go to Profile & system → Settings → General → Network settings.

  2. Select Set up wireless network (or use an Ethernet cable for a wired connection) and connect to your router’s Wi-Fi network.

  3. Once connected, go back to Network settings → Test network connection to verify everything is working.

  4. Your Xbox traffic now flows through Vela VPN automatically. Enjoy lower ping and access to region-locked content.

⚠️
Xbox Live Terms: Using a VPN may affect Xbox Live services. Vela VPN is for privacy and geo-restriction bypass — always comply with Microsoft’s terms of service.
